Claudia Nix
Claudia Nix - Claudia is a member of the N.C. State Recreational Trail’s Committee and the N.C. Dept. Of Transportation Bicycle Committee.  She is the facilitator of the Asheville Bike/Pedestrian Task Force (a citizen advisory committee) and co-owner of Liberty Bicycles, Inc. since the stores inception in 1980.  She is a certified bicycle instructor for the League of American Bicyclists holding #104 and teaches classes for adults in safe cycling techniques.  Claudia is trained as a leader for the National Safe Routes  to Schools Course.  She was founder of the Blue Ridge Bicycle Club and now serves as the advocacy director of the club.  She is also a member of the Healthy Buncombe Coalition and serves on the Executive Council as chair of the Active Community Committee 828-456-8604 x. 2732 Road biking, mountain biking, commuting/alternative transportation, commnity infrastructure for cycling, cycling education, youth cycling, safe roads to schools.
